MVIN Time to Pretend

Base Elements is proud to present the first solo show of the french artist MVIN in its' new gallery space.

MVIN invites you to get up close and personal with his Time to Pretend show, then take a step back and reconsider what you see.

His large-scale works interpret pixilated surveillance footage of modern day battles featuring rocket- launching street guerillas and sledge-hammer-toting bank robbers. Instead of letting these captured moments rot on a hard drive, MVIN invested months into transforming frames of 1/24th of a second into everlasting visualizations. The exhibition also includes mindboggling, intricate line art works, as well as provocative pieces made with illegal mediums.

The opening will be on the 30th of November at 19:00.
